2/26/08 The layout for our new covered arena at B&B Stables in Cerritos!
2/26/08 The site for our new covered arena at B&B has been graded and the footings have been dug!
 
2/26/08 Our first five stalls have been built and are the new homes for Cisco, Mya, Snowflake, Mr. Pibb, and Rigby.

 

2/26/08 We have to keep the deep, deep footing holes fenced off because they are a danger to people walking around and to the horses. The holes will have to be filled with lots of concrete to keep our new roof from blowing away in those Santa Ana winds!
 
3/5/08 Bobby and Ron (both on left) join Darlene and Bob at B&B. Thanks Bobby and Ron for coming all the way down to Cerritos to help us out with such short notice! You are appreciated.
3/5/08 As you can see...some of the RYH horses are already enjoying their new stalls. Thanks Brian, Nick, Bob, Cheryl, Zoe, Evan, Bruce, Dane, Kylie, Michelle, Theresa, Jim, and Darlene for digging in and getting dirty while we put these stalls together!
 
3/5/08 Here is one of the super deep footings that have been dug for the arena. The frames have been built and the re bar has been shaped into frames to support the whole thing...
3/5/08 Here's Star's horse, Mya, enjoying life in one of our new stalls. We still need to put the roofs on the new stalls, but they are coming along!
 
3/18/08: The roof of the new arena will be supported by 12 massive steel beams.
3/18/08: Bob and Mary take a break to discuss the arena progress.
 
3/19/08: The arena is making lots of progress every day now...This thing is HUGE!
3/19/08: Glad it's not my job to climb way up there!

3/26/08: And the roof is up! See the box in the lower left hand corner? That's where Miss Darlene's office is eventually going to go...until then, she works out of the box!
3/26/08: Ok...I got to stand under the big top yesterday...the shade was awesome and the gentle breeze blowing through my hair made me realize that this summer was going to be a lot nicer than last year! Thank You B&B!
